About Marie
Marie Sophon is a trilingual actress, currently based in London. Born to a Swedish mother and Thai father in Thailand, she spent the majority of her childhood in Bangkok. At the age of fourteen she moved to the United States where she received her higher education and has lived most of her adult life.
Marie trained at the William Esper Studio in New York, where she completed a two-year full-time Meisner acting conservatory with Bruce McCartey and Bill Esper.
Previous to acting, she received a BA in Fine Arts from Scripps College, Claremont, and an MA in Art Business from The Sotheby’s Institute of Art, NY. She has also worked in London, Bangkok, Sydney and Los Angeles within art management and marketing. Her passions include long-distance running, hip-hop dance, therapeutic sports massage and spending time with her Doberman Pinscher, Jada.
